Imagine - the Dells Mill was built in 1864 - 5 stories high - no automobiles and almost no railroads. Wisconsin was just a State for 16 years - Augusta was a town for just 8 years - the area was barely settled and Augusta Wisconsin was just a pioneer community - Imagine.
The Dells Mill Pond is a great place to fish year round. Large Mouth Bass, Blue Gills, Sun Fish, and Perch waiting to be caught. Motorized boats are not allowed on the Millpond
The "harvest season" for Large Mouth Bass in the Dells Mill Pond is the Third Saturday in June (June 21 in 2011) through the first Sunday in March of the following year (March 3, 2012).
The "catch and release season" is the first Saturday in May (May 7 2011) through Friday preceding the third Saturday in June (June 21, 2011). BASS SEASON - Whoop-tee-do!
Canoes, kayaks and recreational items can be rented at Riverside Junction.
